Joey Arminio & "The Family" started as a trio playing small restaurants, Atlantic City Casinos and private parties.   Joey, Nicky and Doreen had so much fun on stage adding bits, wigs, novelty songs and off the cuff jokes, audiences gathered around just to be a part of the fun.  Realizing that audiences craved real entertainment, Joey and Doreen put pen to paper creating their first musical revue "A Night at the 500 Club" which utilized music from Louie Prima/Keely Smith, Jerry Vale, Liza Minelli, Connie Francis, Sonny and Cher, Buddy Holly, and the group's claim to fame doo wop harmonies.   They threw on wigs, tap danced, sang and got the audience involved getting standing ovations at every performance.  As the popularity of the show grew, so did the group.  Auditioning musicians and dancers until creating the perfect blend of talented artists you see today.
